Agency Structure
Comprehensive Interventions, Inc. provides an array of human services to children, adolescents and their families coping with mental, behavioral, and emotional issues. The programs are individualized and based on the needs of the clients. Services are delivered in accordance with the principles of being child-centered, family driven, strength based, and culturally competent. The Management and Clinical structure of the organization are comprised of the Medical Director, Clinical Director and the QM/Training Director. The agency’s management and clinical structure focuses on the model which includes the delivery of core services, appropriate clinical oversight, and coordination of care with physical health providers, reduction in service fragmentation for consumers, and a quality improvement/staff training component.
The clinical structure of Comprehensive Interventions, Inc. promotes clinical knowledge on all levels of the agency, clinical sensitivity, assessment of the changing needs and nature of the clients and the skills needed to analyze and monitor organizational effectiveness. The management structure of the organization supports the continuum by providing clinical and medical leadership through daily operational management of mental health teams and issues such as clinical supervision, quality assurance activities, and the use of evidence based practices. The agency’s service continuum and additional services are interlinked to meet the needs of the client by allowing the client to transfer between appropriate levels of care as clinically necessary. The agency’s service continuum shall be defined as follows:
CORE SERVICES:

Clinical Assessment: A clinical review is performed by a Licensed Professional who has the appropriate credentials and meets the requirements identified in the specific assessment used. The purpose of the Comprehensive Clinical Assessment is to offer the provider information and recommendations to perform the analysis of this data in the development of the Person Centered Plan with the individual. The Comprehensive Clinical Assessment includes a review of physical and mental health, intelligence, school performance, family situation, and behavior in the home and community. The assessment identifies the strengths of the client and family, and if applicable, the appropriate levels of care needed including risk to health and safety, other chronic health conditions/and or cognitive conditions.

Outpatient Therapy: Outpatient Therapy provides therapeutic intervention to individuals in need of mental health and substance abuse resources, but do not require hospitalization or residential care. Outpatient therapy services are provided in an individual, group, and family setting.

Medication Management: Medication Management is a core service to determine an individual’s need for a prescribed drug, or evaluate the effectiveness of the prescribed drug as noted in the individual’s Person Centered Plan
ENHANCED SERVICES:

Intensive In-Home: Intensive In Home services is a limited intensive family preservation interventions intended for the purpose of stabilizing the living arrangements , promoting reunification and/or preventing out-of-home therapeutic resources for youth aged 5-20.

Child and Adolescent Day Treatment: Day Treatment is a structured treatment service in a licensed facility to serve children and adolescents who are unable to benefit from participation in academic or vocational services at a developmentally appropriate level in a traditional school or work setting because of their mental health and/or substance abuse treatment needs. The program builds on the strengths of the child/adolescent and their family. This service is medically necessary and is designed to address the child’s clinical and diagnostic needs documented in the Comprehensive Clinical Assessment and the Person Centered Plan.

Targeted Case Management: Targeted Case Management (MH/SA TCM) is a service for adults and children age three (3) and older who have a serious emotional disturbance, mental illness, or a substance related disorder and for recipients who have a serious emotional disturbance, mental illness, or substance related disorder and are pregnant. Targeted Case Management is individualized, person centered, empowering, comprehensive, strength-based, and outcome focused. Recipients gain access to necessary care: medical. behavioral, social and other services appropriate to their needs.

Community Support Team: Community Support Team (CST) services consist of community-based mental and substance abuse rehabilitation services and necessary suppers provided through a team approach to assist adults in achieving rehabilitative and recovery goals

HIV Case Management: HIV Case Management provides support to help individuals living with HIV to have access to medical care, ensure medication, resolve care issues, and develop their care plan.

Therapeutic Foster Care Placement: Comprehensive Interventions, Inc. is licensed by the State of North Carolina to assist in the licensing of Foster Care Parents for children and adolescents with severe emotional disorders.
